This clove and star-anise scented wine is made of 100% Gamay Noir and hails from the Chehalem Mountains AVA in Oregon's Willamette Valley. Gamay is experiencing quite the revolution in Oregon, rivaling top Cru Beaujolais wines from France, the spiritual home of the Gamay grape. Extremely complex and light on its feet, this is just delicious, showing brooding black raspberry fruit and more exotic spice notes on the palate.
